Parada 22 - De Diego Ave

Centro de Bellas Artes - Santurce

Even before the Fine Arts Center (Centro de Bellas Artes) was constructed in the 1970's, stop 22 was considered the 'Times Square of San Juan'.

Today, with the new Symphony Hall and Puerto Rico Museum of Art, Stop 22 is even more important as the focus of performance venues in San Juan.

De Diego Avenue has become even more important since it now connects the Santurce Arts District with the new 'Downtown Condado' area along Calle Loiza on the Condado side of the highway.

Whether you're spending an afternoon at the museum or a glamorous evening at the opera, symphony or concert - make sure to spend some time at Parada 22!

How to get to Stop 22:

  • Condado – Walk on Ashford Avenue to De Diego Avenue at Doral Bank. Walk away from the beach and past the DoubleTree Hotel and PR Museum of Art to Ponce de Leon Avenue. 10-15 minute walk
You can also take the M21 Bus in the direction to Tren Urbano and get off anywhere from the museum to the fine arts center.  10 minute bus ride, but service is infrequent and you may wait for up to an hour.
  • Isla Verde – Take the T5 bus in the direction of Old San Juan. When you turn left at the DoubleTree hotel and cross over the highway, get off at the PR Museum of Art or continue around the corner to Ponce de León and the Fine Arts Center. 10-15 minutes.
  • Old San Juan – Take the M3 Metrobus or the T5 and get off in front of Centro Europa just after the highway overpass with Taino Petroglyphs. T5 then turns left on De Diego Avenue and also stops in front of the Museum. 10 minutes.
