Parada 12 - Miramar | Avenida de las Artes

Parada 12 – Miramar

Miramar’s 1908 neo-gothic church by Antonín Nechodoma features ‘Tiffany-style’ stained glass windows.

Miramar has always been one of San Juan’s favorite neighborhoods because its in the middle of everything!

Overlooking Condado Lagoon, this was the location of San Juan’s first resort hotels and grand mansions built high on the hill to catch refreshing breezes in the days before air conditioning.

You’ll find great restaurants, supermarket, gourmet shop, banks, cinemas and cultural venues.

You can walk to Casa Aboy or the Conservatory of Music or just jump on the M3 bus that runs from Old San Juan to the Tren Urbano for just 50 cents (exact change required) to explore the rest of the arts district.

Miramar is also centrally located for the Puerto Rico Convention Center and Cruise Ship Piers.  Walk across the Condado Lagoon in about 10 minutes for beaches, casinos and nightlife.

Whether you book your hotel in Miramar or just visit for a movie, enjoy a great meal or a stroll through our designated Miramar Historic District, you’ll want to make sure to visit our side of the lagoon!

How to get to Stop 12:

  • Condado – Walk on Ashford Avenue to the Conrad Condado Plaza and continue across the Dos Hermanos Bridge which crosses the lagoon. Walk to the left and under the highway to Ponce de León Avenue. 10-15 minute walk (no direct bus service).  You can also walk to Stop 18 at Condado Avenue and take the M3 or T5 bus toward Old San Juan.
  • Isla Verde – Take the T5 bus in the direction of Old San Juan. When you pass the Conservatory of Music, look for the Total Gas Station on your right and pull the cord to get off across from the Pueblo Supermarket. 30-35 minutes.
  • Old San Juan – Take the M3 Metrobus or the T5 and get off after the Hotel Miramar and neo-gothic church. 8-10 minutes.
